3 Scriptures To Pray For Your Kids This School Year

3 Scriptures To Pray For Your Kids This School Year will transform your children’s heart as well as yours.  No matter where you send your child to school you still need to pray daily for your child.  It does not matter if you homeschool, send your children to a Christian School, a charter school or public school.  As parents, we are all called to petition our Father in heaven on our kid’s behalf.
Sending our children back to school means they will be faced with many moral challenges and dilemmas this school year and the sooner we pray for them the better.

3 Scriptures To Pray For Your Kids This School Year

What will your child worship this year?  Will it be God or something else like sports, tv or even good grades?   People were made to worship something, let’s petition God to make himself known to our children so they will be able to worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

John 4:24

God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”

Does your child understand that there is absolute truth?  Do they know that truth comes from God and that they can access His very words by reading the Bible?  Do they have a Christian Worldview? The world does not believe in truth they believe in following one’s heart and doing what is right in their own eyes.  We must intentionally pray for our children to understand truth and where it comes from.

Ephesians 1:13

In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

We all want our kids to have friends but sometimes I wonder why this is so important to us?  Let’s pray for God to supply the perfect friends for our children and for God to protect our kids from bad alliances.  You may want to discuss the different kinds of friendships.  There is a big difference between showing kindness and being salt and light to the world and having a friendship with those individuals your kids are ministering too.  Let us not confuse what the Bible says about friendships with what the world has to say about them.

1 Corinthians 15:33

33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”

If your children are attending public school this year please make it your ambition to read your children’s textbooks.  It is a lot of hard work, believe me, I know, I have done it.  You will be better prepared to pray for your children as well as what you need to discuss with your children that may be in opposition to the Christian faith.

Galatians 6:9

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Your choice of scriptures are great. School is both exciting and nerve-racking for all involved, and I think this is a great way to have peace with the new school year. Thanks for sharing!
