It is so hard to go to a party when you have food allergies!  It is not really the temptation of eating the forbidden food but rather the very real FEAR of getting sick!  So…my way to fix that problem is to never eat food that looks “OK” and to bring my own delicious food to share with others.  That way I am not being a pain for my host and I can rest easy because I know the food is SAFE.

I have scoured the web for some amazing gluten-free, Paleo, and dairy free recipes for you to whip up, so you can cheer with the best of them and enjoy The Super Bowl!   I am so excited to share these delicious recipes and I am also excited to share with you these talented food bloggers!

Here is to SAFE, DELICIOUS and ENJOYABLE eating!

sweet and spicy chicken bacon wraps

1. Sweet and Spicy Chicken Bacon Wraps!!  These look so incredibly delicious that I would be worried about eating them all myself!  Check the recipe out at 101 Cooking for Two.  This recipe is gluten-free and dairy-free!

Sweet-Potato-Rounds-7-of-9

2. Loaded Sweet Potato Rounds are gluten-free!  What I love about this recipe is that it is quick and easy.  Find the recipe at A Couple Cooks.  While you’re at their amazing blog…look around for their other healthy and delicious recipes.

Goat-Cheese-and-Bacon-Stuffed-Peppers-01

3. Goat Cheese and Bacon Stuffed Peppers.  These are so colorful.  These charming peppers are gluten-free and while they are not technically dairy-free my children that have dairy allergies do fine with goat cheese.  The wonderful recipe is at Kim’s Healthy Eats.

800-x-419-fritters

4. These Zucchini Fritters are gluten-free, dairy-free and Paleo!!   And YES…they still taste great!  I love the Stupid Easy Paleo blog for many reasons but mostly because this blog provides options for the allergy sufferer…Thanks!

Real deal chocolate chip cookies

5. Real Deal Chocolate Chip Cookies!!  Just LOVE this recipe and basically every recipe that Danielle Walker makes!  Against the Grain has been an amazingly encouraging blog for me as Danielle is a fellow sufferer of auto-immune disease.  Her story is inspiring!  She went from sick and hospitalized to healthy just by changing what she was eating.  I really hope you enjoy this recipe as you celebrate the game day!

Which team will win the Super Bowl?

No idea… but I now know that I will be enjoying game day with all this gluten-free delectable food!!

Blessings,

  1. Those dishes look delicious! I think I’ll be trying at least two of them. The sweet potato rounds — genius! So much easier than baking potatoes, scooping out the inside and cooking them again! My gang is already hollering about chicken wings, which I don’t eat, but will begrudgingly cook. 😉 We also love cowboy caviar with homemade corn chips. It’s a fairly healthy snack (the recipe is on my old food blog if you’re interested). I also pinned a recipe for some yummy looking hummus to serve with carrot “chips.” I think with your suggestions, my party is planned. And I’ll take my plate upstairs to watch a girl movie while the game is on!
