FREE Printable Philippians 1:21

FREE Printable Philippians 1:21

What does Philippians 1:21 mean? What does “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” mean?  Not just a pat answer that simplifies the verse into a list of right and wrong. Here is a FREE Printable of Philippians 1:21 to help.

Spurgeon is a marvelous wordsmith and has been an instrument in drawing me to the Lord many a time!  Listen to what he has to say about the topic.

According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

Again I bid you remark on Paul’s devotion and self-forgetfulness. It seems to be a matter of no choice with him whether he serves God in life or glorifies him in death. The emblem of the American Baptist Missionary Union is an ox standing between a plow and an altar, with the motto, “Ready for either,”—Ready to spend and be spent in labor, or to be a sacrifice, whichever the Lord pleases.

Since we are all different people with different calls on our lives.  It appears to me the key is in the relationship we have with Christ.  Do we spend time with Him, or do we listen? Are we willing to listen and be poured out for Him who gave His life for us?

FREE Printable 1 Thessalonians 5:18

I’ll be honest giving thanks isn’t always easy.  We can easily get so focused on ourselves that giving thanks doesn’t seem necessary or important, especially if things aren’t going our way.  We need a constant reminder to give thanks in all circumstances.  At least I do.  Here is a FREE Printable of 1 Thessalonians 5:18!

In 1 Thessalonians, Paul is writing to the people of Thessalonica and could be easily writing to you and me, about the state of the congregation there. The church was still suffering from harassment and hostile factions in the area and Paul lays out God’s instructions for his people so clearly.

Take a few moments before you download the FREE printable, read through the end of chapter 5.

Final Instructions and Benediction

We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you, and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all. See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.  Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.

Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

Brothers, pray for us.

Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.

I put you under oath before the Lord to have this letter read to all the brothers.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

FREE Printable Psalm 37:11

I am so excited to present to you this FREE Printable Psalm 37:11 for you to print off (on cardstock), frame, and decorate your home with scripture!

There are three keywords in Psalm 37:11.  The first is meek, the second is delight, and the third word is peace. Psalm 37:11 states,  But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.  There seems to be a correlation between being meek and having delight and peace displayed in one’s life.

I don’t know about you but I would love to have delight and peace in my life!  Let’s take a look at what it means to be meek.

Once again, I am not sure that we can conjure up a meek spirit on our own.  We must ask God to form this character trait in our lives.  Spending time in prayer is one of the best ways to start the day, why not ask Jesus to do a work in you and begin your journey toward meekness today?

Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,  holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.   This verse has been a help to me as I manage the mundane in my life and I hope it will be an encouragement to you too!

John 8:12 FREE Printable

I have been thinking a lot about John 8:12 lately, specifically Jesus being the light of the world and what this fact could mean on so many different levels.  Scripture is living and active for the true believer.  It is miraculous that way. I am so glad to present this John 8:12 FREE printable, Merry Christmas!

As a sufferer of Seasonal Affective Disorder, I struggle with the dark of this season.  Here in Ohio, it gets dark so early and the grey, cold days are hard to take.  We only get 178 half-sunny days a year here so people really suffer from the darkness, I can only imagine how hard it is in places like Alaska or Sweden.

Simply, Jesus is the light of the world, He is the HOPE of all who believe in Him and His redemption of all difficulties, sins, and all kinds of darkness in the world.  From the evil of North Korea, the sin that becomes a stronghold, and yes, even the oppressive darkness of winter that causes depression.  His love comes with a promise…Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life!
