The easiest flowers and herbs for container gardens. Simple and easy, aren’t those nice words? Doubly nice when we are talking about gardening.
Container gardening or pot gardening is the practice of growing plants, including edible plants, exclusively in containers instead of planting them in the ground. A container in gardening is a small, enclosed, and usually portable object used for displaying live flowers or plants. It may take the form of a pot, box, tub, pot, basket, tin, barrel, or hanging basket.
Get creative with your containers, but also consider context. What style of home do you live in? Apartment, Condo, Colonial, Modern, or Farmhouse. For example, I live in a 1903 Farmhouse that is a very light grey with a black roof. I use three types of pots: terracotta, black, and galvanized metal buckets. If you are using more than one style of container, the rule of thumb is not to use more than three different types of pots, or the effect will be chaotic.
