Sometimes in life, you are blessed enough to meet a kindred spirit along the way.  It doesn’t matter what age you both are but there is a connection, a spark of commonality there that binds you together.  It was that way for me and one of my teachers growing up.  I received this recipe for Creamiest Buttercream Frosting from my 7th grade home economics teacher, Mrs. Wessel.

I will not admit here how long ago that was!  Mrs. Wessel gave me many things over the years, she made me a lovely wedding quilt and I still use the ironing board she gave me when I first started a home.   To say she was generous is an understatement!  This recipe is another gift she has given me.  Suffice it to say this recipe has stood the test of time.  I used this icing recipe for every birthday cake I have ever made and it always turns out and is absolutely delicious!!

Have you ever heard of a “no-fail” recipe?  This one is it!
