Every day we wake up and are faced with problems to solve.  In my own life, I don’t think I can ever remember a day when there wasn’t some problem on some level to solve in a day.  To think that problem solving isn’t a part of every created human being’s life is not realistic. I think having false expectations about our lives can lead to discouragement. Here are 5 Psalms That Will Help You HOPE, all through your day!

Our faith in Jesus Christ and all the love that was poured out for each one of us on the cross allows the Christian woman to navigate her day with HOPE.  It is a given, Jesus has not only saved us from our sins but promises to never leave us or forsake us.  That truth alone gives me HOPE on a hard day!

Hope is one of the Theological virtues.

This means that a continual looking forward to the

eternal world is not (as some modern people think)

a form of escapism or wishful thinking,

but one of the things a Christian is meant to do.

It does not mean that we are to leave

the present world as it is.

If you read history you will find that the Christians

who did most for the present world

were just those who thought most of the next.

-C.S. Lewis

5 Psalms That Will Help You HOPE

Psalm 33:18

Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,

Psalm 33:22

Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.

Psalm 39:7

And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you. Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation

Psalm 42:11

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.

Somehow everything seems better when I focus on God’s Word.  Peace washes over me and I am able to go on hoping in the power of Christ and cease striving to make things come about in my own strength.  I think that HOPE and PEACE are inextricably connected. One flows freely from the other.

Both qualities are signs of a true believer.  Praying for you today, that you will experience the HOPE that only our Father in Heaven can give you!

YOUR TURN…

What is your favorite bible verse that brings you HOPE?
