I have so many good memories of times with my Mom while growing up and I have even more as an adult as she has lived a mile from me for the past 22 years. I know I know, life is pretty good! She has helped me raise my own six children so I feel incredibly blessed.
On Mother’s Day, I always want to spend thousands of dollars on her, after all, she is worth it! Back to reality and the budget to realize that it is not in the budget. I have had to get a little creative over the years. One of my favorite things to do is go to her home and help her with her garden and yard work. She really appreciates the help and the company. She also shares my love for flowers so Mother’s Day usually includes some of those too. Some years the flowers are dug from my garden as transplants or other years purchased from a store.
In addition, I put my graphic design skills to work and came up with these encouraging quotes about motherhood. I will be printing one of these beauties on cardstock and then framing it as a Mother’s Day gift this year! You might want to do the same for your Mom…
