Don’t you just love the book of Ephesians?  It is just chocked full of wisdom on how to live life.  I am excited to share with you a short devotion and a FREE Printable of Ephesians 1: 7&8!

Let’s start by pausing, breathing deeply, and asking Jesus to clear our minds of outside distractions and open our hearts to His Word.  If you have time read through Ephesians 1, if you don’t have that much time, just read Ephesians 1: 7&8.

This book of the Bible is written by Paul and as usual, he writes in a straightforward way that is easy to understand. Spiritual blessings are the theme and oh boy, this is such an encouragement to our faith. The truth that God chose us to be His children before He created the world and that we are holy and blameless makes me want to dance in the street!  We are known!  We were chosen! What a powerful spiritual blessing that is.

As the verses on Ephesians 1 run on we see even more spiritual blessings that are ours just because of our salvation in and through Christ.

• We are adopted!
• We are redeemed!
• We are forgiven!
• We have a purpose!
• We have an inheritance!
• We have hope!

All this just makes me want to bow my head and thank our Father in Heaven for all he has granted to us.  Will you join me?

Father,

Thank you for saving me.  Thank you for your Word that guides and teaches, you have not left us to fend for ourselves.  In your graciousness, you have left your Spirit to live in us. What an honor and a responsibility to be called a child of God.  Thank you for intentionally designing me with a purpose and at your pleasure.  You are a great and loving God!
