Gluten-Free Drinks are hard to find.  You wouldn’t think so but it is true.  Sports drinks, some sweetened tea and most fruit smoothies have gluten in them.  That is why I am so excited to share this recipe for Gluten-Free Peach Iced Green Tea!

I like to experiment with different ingredients and I think I have stumbled on a great combination.  Peach juice and green tea!   It is an amazing combination that is refreshing and rejuvenating especially on a hot day.  Why not try combining tea with other juices.  Maybe even add some seltzer while you’re at it.  The sky is the limit!

Gluten-Free Peach Iced Green Tea

Serves 12

Ingredients

1 gallon freshly brewed green tea (I use 6 tea bags to 1 gallon pure boiled water)

1-gallon peach nectar (make sure you get pure peach juice…so many have high fructose corn syrup in them)

DIRECTIONS

1. Brew green tea and let cool.

2. Combine the green tea and the peach nectar and refrigerate.

3. Add ice and serve.

* Using filtered water makes a difference in the taste.

Now here is your assignment, slow down, take a deep breath and pour yourself a glass of Peach Iced Green Tea.   Head on out to the front porch or the shade of a large tree and enjoy this refreshing drink!  It really is the simple pleasures in life!  In the words of Henry James, “Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me, those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”

ENJOY!

Blessings,

  1. Sounds wonderful! I use Salada brand Tropical Mango Green tea (gluten free) for iced tea and I bet the peach nectar would be wonderful with it!

  2. If you ever get to Marc’s they used to have it there — 2 for $3. I only makes iced tea in the summer, so it’s been a while. If I find any I’ll grab it for you.
