His Only Son In Theaters This Easter

What does the story of Abraham and Issac have to do with Jesus? I am so excited to share with you a faith-building and visually stunning movie that displays the beautiful connection between Jesus, Isaac, and  Abraham. Abraham of the Old Testament is considered the father of our faith.  For instance, the similarities between Abraham’s offering of Isaac as a sacrifice in Genesis 22 and God’s ultimate sacrifice of his son Jesus are incredible!  We see over and over in Scripture the prophetic pathway that God paints for us, directly to His son Jesus! 

God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, instead of Ishmael, because He wanted him to sacrifice his only begotten son. In Hebrew, the words “only begotten” mean, special, unique, and precious. These exact words were used by God when sacrificing His only begotten, special, unique, and precious Son. Incredibly, both Issac and Jesus were named by God.  His Own Son is a movie about redemption, about the amazing incredible redemptive work of Jesus, displayed with clarity in the Old Testament story of Abraham and Issac.
