Here is a handmade FREE Scripture Printable!  Do you struggle to memorize scripture?  I do!  With that in mind, I have made a series of FREE Scripture Printables that will be published monthly at The Peaceful Haven.  The size can be adjusted to print the verse as a scripture memory card or enlarged to be framed for the home.

The whole purpose of The Peaceful Haven is to encourage you, the reader to follow wholeheartedly after Jesus.  To not do what is right in your own eyes but to follow what God has written in His Word and in doing so find truth and happiness.  It is my prayer that this Scripture series will be a tool in accomplishing this goal in your and my life.

FREE Printable Matthew 19:14…The disciples viewed children as a distraction from the work of Jesus, but He welcomed them as subjects of the kingdom and blessed them. How often do we think the same?

As a mother, your greatest work lies in making your children into dedicated disciples of Christ.  A better way to look at it is by loving them into the Kingdom.  Parenting is long, hard, and sacrificial.  Being a mother is a great gift and yet the hardest work you will ever do.  It must be done with the understanding that these precious children that have been given to you, actually belong to God.

Sometimes, we need gentle reminders around our home to help us regain focus. I don’t know about you but I am highly distractable and need all the help I can get to refocus on the work God has called me to do.  I like to decorate my home with scripture, it helps me to focus on the commandments of Christ and let the world slowly fade away.

Matthew 19:14 is one of my favorite scripture verses.  Jesus cuts to the truth of the matter and lovingly puts everyone in their place!  I need this from time to time.  God’s Word works that way with the help of the Holy Spirit.  It’s the only book that has ever been published to be interactive!

FREE Printable Romans 5:3-5…I have to confess that this particular Bible verse is a hard one for me.  To rejoice in one’s sufferings is difficult and quite frankly how does rejoicing in one’s sufferings look, feel, and act?

I like looking ahead in the verse to see what the benefits are though,  I want endurance, good character, and hope!  I crave those things.  I find it ironic that suffering has the ability to create good in us.  It truly astounds me, I know in my own life it is in the midst of painful circumstances that I learn the most.

Romans 5: 3-5 depicts God’s love so beautifully.  LOVE has been poured out, like a waterfall gushing over us, God’s love is the key to producing endurance, character, and hope.  Without God’s love there is just suffering, God’s love makes the suffering into something beautiful!

Reading my Bible daily and participating in devoted prayer, changes every area of your life.  When I forget to do my daily quiet time with God, my kids are quick to ask, “Mom, did you talk with Jesus today?”  Praying Scripture and meditating on it helps us slow down and identify what really needs to get done.  What’s on God’s agenda?

There are three keywords in Psalm 37:11.  The first is meek, the second is delight, and the third word is peace. Psalm 37:11 states,  But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace.  There seems to be a correlation between being meek and having delight and peace displayed in one’s life. 

I don’t know about you but I would love to have delight and peace in my life!  Let’s take a look at what it means to be meek.

I enjoy decorating my home with scripture, I keep one picture frame of the current verse or Biblical concept I am working on memorizing.  I find God’s Word absolutely BEAUTIFUL so why not have it displayed in a beautiful way?  I enjoy replacing the verse monthly, although if I am “stuck” I often will keep it up a little longer.

I have been thinking a lot about John 8:12 lately, specifically Jesus being the light of the world and what this fact could mean on so many different levels.  Scripture is living and active for the true believer.  It is miraculous that way. I am so glad to present this John 8:12 FREE printable, Merry Christmas!

As a sufferer of Seasonal Affective Disorder, I struggle with the dark of this season.  Here in Ohio, it gets dark so early and the grey, cold days are hard to take.  We only get 178 half-sunny days a year here so people really suffer from the darkness, I can only imagine how hard it is in places like Alaska or Sweden.

Simply, Jesus is the light of the world, He is the HOPE of all who believe in Him and His redemption of all difficulties, sins, and all kinds of darkness in the world.  From the evil of North Korea, the sin that becomes a stronghold, and yes, even the oppressive darkness of winter that causes depression.  His love comes with a promise…Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life!

I have to confess it is still a struggle for me but I am making progress.  The determination to renew your mind with God’s word can go a long way in transforming your life.  As it says in Psalm 119:11 I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.   God in His infinite wisdom has provided a way for us as believers to know our Savior more through the meditation on His Word!

As I have said, memorizing Scripture or actually anything is difficult for me, so my natural tendency is to avoid it since I find it hard.  Here are a few tips that have helped me over the year to pursue memorization even though it’s difficult.
